The PBS Democratic Primary Debate
Sanders said he had been an Obama ally in the Senate even if he did not always agree with him.

The candidates both vowed to pursue comprehensive immigration reform, using the emotional issue to draw a contrast with Republicans who oppose allowing numerous millions of people in the United States illegally to stay.
Sanders went so far as to say that race relations would “absolutely” be better under his administration.
But she barely beat Sanders in the Iowa caucus and lost the New Hampshire primary in a landslide.
Clinton and Sanders: No one did poorly, but no one did well.
“I’m not asking people to support me because I’m a woman”, Clinton said. “That’s a promise that can not be kept”.
Sanders also took advantage of a tense moment when discussing his plan to fix the country’s infrastructure to remind her, “Secretary Clinton, you’re not in the White House yet”.
“One of us ran against Barack Obama”, Sanders said in response, referring to the 2008 presidential primaries.
After routing Clinton in New Hampshire by double digits, Sanders met with the Rev. Al Sharpton in Harlem on Wednesday as the two candidates focus on the more diverse electorate of Nevada, South Carolina and the multiple states holding primaries and caucuses in March.
“Bernie’s main platform is nearly identical to the Green Party’s”, Larry Sanders said in a press release released by the Greens confirming his appointment. “People aren’t dumb. Why in God’s name does Wall Street make huge campaign contributions?”
“They want the political revolution”, he said.
“I am running for president to take down all the barriers that are holding Americans back”, Clinton said.
Another noteworthy exchange came when Clinton was pressed on her ties to Wall Street.
Sanders called the large number of black males in prison “one of the great tragedies in our country today”.
He called for “fundamental police reform”, and said Americans are “sick and tired” of seeing unarmed African Americans killed by police officers.
Also worrisome for Clinton: Exit polls showed Sanders overwhelmingly won young voters and middle-class voters.
She then pointed out that for the first time in history, the presidential debate stage on Thursday night was populated by more women than men.
Sanders: “Somebody with my views, who has spent their entire life taking on big money interests, I think a Sanders victory would be of some historical accomplishment as well”. “They’re going to end up in the productive economy, which is where we want them”.
Clinton wouldn’t disavow a comment by former Secretary of State Madeline Albright that there is “a special place in hell” for women who don’t support other women.
“Well, look, I think that she’s been saying that for as long as I’ve known her, which is about 25 years”.
Sanders will likely try to parry Clinton’s attacks on foreign policy by reiterating that, unlike the former NY senator, he voted against authorizing the Iraq War in 2002.

“Well, I know journalists have asked who you do listen to on foreign policy and we have yet to know who that is”, Clinton said in response to Sanders slamming Kissinger.
