Bernie Sanders Plans Push for Black Vote as Campaign Moves South

Both outcomes would have been almost unthinkable not long ago.
While Clinton remains the favorite in the national race for the Democratic nomination, the win by the Vermont senator could be a springboard into a competitive, drawn-out primary campaign. Trump said on “CBS This Morning” that he and Christie spoke after the New Hampshire primary Tuesday, in which Trump won a big victory.
I want you to understand something. “We are going to make America great again”. After the Nevada caucus and SC primary this month, the Super Tuesday contests of March 1 tend to reward candidates who come armed with the conventional weaponry of political campaigns, rather than Mr. Trump’s unorthodox style.
Ohio Governor John Kasich stole a solid second place finish with 16% of the vote, after investing heavily in New Hampshire, a state with a large number of independent voters.
The former Florida governor is out with a new radio ad featuring former President George W. Bush, who warns that his kid brother is the only man prepared to protect the US and support the troops.
“The only candidate who can beat Donald Trump is me”, Cruz told reporters in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where Republicans vote on February 20. Older voters cast an estimated 28 percent of the total Democratic votes in Iowa, and 17 percent in New Hampshire. King says SC voters will be far less tolerant of Trump’s use of profanity and name-calling from the stage. They’ll now be under even more pressure to pick a horse while also facing the possibility of an attack from Trump (and his voters) if they oppose him publicly. He won female voters 55-44, seven in 10 women under 45 and 85 percent of 17- 29-year-olds. He certainly did markedly better among the 15 percent of Republicans who picked it – rather than the economy, terrorism or government spending – as their top issue.
Marco Rubio is also traveling to SC, looking to recover from what looks like a disappointing fifth-place finish in New Hampshire.
Among Democrats, Sanders, who narrowly lost in Iowa, appeals to liberal Democrats who believe Obama hasn’t done enough to address the nation’s disparity in wealth.
The results from New Hampshire have not yet been finalized.
Sharpton said he won’t endorse a candidate until he and various heads of national civil rights organizations meet with Clinton next week.
Both the other Republican candidates and the pundits should take a close look at those polls, because they raise questions about what we think we know about the Trump phenomenon.

At some point soon the votes for Rubio are going to have to catch up with the expectations and the hype his hardcore supporters are putting out there.
