Curry heads to all-star weekend with near triple-double
“If the Warriors are 72-9, but Stephen Curry is suffering from a nagging ankle sprain, do you play Curry in the final game?”

Stephen Curry had 35 points, nine assists and six rebounds to help the Golden State Warriors put away the Houston Rockets in the fourth quarter of a 123-110 victory Tuesday night. The Warriors have beaten the Suns six times in a row dating back to last season.
“It’s shocking, really”, Kerr said.
One of the reasons people were so skeptical was the fact that during all four rounds of the playoffs previous year, the Warriors had to face a team that was without their starting point guard.
That’s a mere drop in the bucket compared to the Pacific Ocean-sized gap (in time and obviously talent) they appear to be from the league’s elite teams, like Golden State. We have a deep roster and they love playing together, they enjoy winning and they are good at it. That doesn’t mean the Warriors don’t come close once in a while – their recent win over Oklahoma City was one such example – but when Golden State goes up 15 on you, this team simply doesn’t break. He called those 52 games “kind of a blur”. He’s on pace for 386 this season, so the only real question is how high he’ll go. After drubbing the Suns in Phoenix last night, the defending champion Warriors improved to 48-4.
“Handled a lot of different challenges pretty well the first half of the season”.
– Morris shoved Goodwin as the two argued on the bench and later had to be separated by teammates and coaches during a timeout 3:26 into the first quarter. “They’re like big brother, little brother”. Golden State comes out of the All-Star break with six straight road games…. The Warriors managed to win the quarter 29-28.
SNYDER’S JAZZ WIN SEVENTH STRAIGHT: Gordon Hayward and the Utah Jazz now have a win that Coach Quin Snyder views as validation for the hot streak his young team is enjoying. Curry won last season. A huge paint presence in the pivotal fourth quarter, he was plus-13. “We’ve been battle-tested, understand what it takes to win”.
The rest of the Warriors will get to rest and focus on what the Warriors have to do in the second half. He did not return in the second half, and the Cavs did not provide any specifics about his injury.
San Antonio Spurs recovered from a 14-point deficit to beat Orlando Magic 98-96 thanks to Kawhi Leonard’s jump-shot with 0.9 seconds left on the clock.
LaMarcus Aldridge had 21 points and Patty Mills added 17 points and seven assists for the Spurs, who won their fourth straight game.
Wall made four free throws in the final 6.6 seconds and the Wizards held on when Langston Galloway’s 3-pointer at the buzzer was just short. (Last season’s Warriors also won 39.) No, this mark belongs to the 1985-86 Boston Celtics, who compiled a staggering 40-1 home record en route to an National Basketball Association title.
INDIANAPOLIS – Kemba Walker scored 25 points to lead a balanced attack as Charlotte crushed sluggish Indiana.
Over at the Target Center, the Minnesota Timberwolves rallied back from 18 points down to stun the Toronto Raptors 117-112.
The All-Star break could be coming at just the right time for Kerr and the Warriors. Trevor Ariza added 19 points, while Dwight Howard and Marcus Thornton contributed 16 points and 15 points respectively, with Howard grabbing a game-high 15 rebounds. Maurice Harkless posted 19 points and 13 rebounds for a season-best performance from him.
The Memphis Grizzlies bounced back from the disappointment of losing star center Marc Gasol to a broken foot to dominate Brooklyn in a 109-90 victory. Curry has seven career triple-doubles, two this season….

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Will Barton scored 20 points off the bench, including 15 during the fourth quarter, and Denver downed depleted Detroit at The Palace.
