Kroger in bid to acquire Fresh Market
Fresh Market said in October it had retained investment bank JP Morgan Chase & Co to assist in a review of strategic options, including the potential sale of the company. (NASDAQ:TFM) to post earnings of $0.51 per share in next report, which is scheduled to be announced on 2016-03-03. Acadian Asset Management now owns 136,942 shares of the company’s stock worth $3,207,000 after buying an additional 133,390 shares during the last quarter. The firm stated that the Fresh Market could be acquired on a $21-per-share basis, and added that the company experiences strong competition in the South Eastern region.
