Bush joining Jeb Bush in SC
Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio turned up the heat on his opponents – proactively calling them out by name – while campaigning in SC on Thursday.

Rubio’s sharp remarks come a day after he promised to be more aggressive with other Republicans after faltering in last week’s debate – a performance he has apologized for after his fifth place finish in the New Hampshire primary.
Former South Carolina first lady Iris Campbell is endorsing Republican Jeb Bush for president, further cementing a long-standing relationship between the two families.
He’ll have to do so in spite of having a cash disadvantage.

Kasich, Bush and Rubio are seeking numerous same voters and donors.
Fresh off his victory in the Granite State, Donald Trump told a crowd at Clemson University in SC it’s now their turn to deliver the billionaire another win.
He earned an endorsement from The New York Times, which called him “the only plausible choice for Republicans exhausted of the extremism and inexperience on display in this race”.
Affable and seemingly relaxed on the campaign trail, the 63-year-old largely refrained from attacking his opponents, projecting a relentlessly positive image that set him apart from his combative rivals.
Although Kasich encouraged supporters to settle in for the wild ride ahead, he also urged them to slow down and appreciate the connections that he said make America the country it is.
The ads are one of Kasich’s first steps in mounting a challenge beyond New Hampshire, where he finished in second, and a signal that he’s doubling down on his rosy message.
With South Carolina republicans now just 10 days from a critical primary vote, there is a very familiar political figure stumping the Palmetto State.
Gov. John Kasich, (R-OH), is the Governor of Ohio. Trump repeated his own opposition to the war in Iraq and pointed to George W. Bush “getting us in that quicksand”. Kasich, meanwhile, heads to MI on Monday and Tuesday, then to Virginia and NY for a fundraiser on Wednesday before heading back to SC.
“We don’t have to win everything”, said Kasich’s senior adviser, Tom Rath.
Former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb says he will not run as an independent candidate for president, citing the challenge of raising money for a White House bid.
Bush cited his brother and father, both former presidents, as well, saying he embraces the “establishment” label generally anathema in this election defined by voter anger. I wish I were still in it, but I’m really impressed with Jeb on so many different issues.
“I’m not just going to sit there and be a marshmallow or some kind of a pincushion where people just pound me”, Kasich said.
“We’re going to compete here”, he told CNN’s Jamie Gangel.
“We had this special opportunity funded by our school to visit all of the rallies and actually volunteer for some candidates”, Buckner said.

Donald Trump says he talked with Chris Christie a “little bit” about the New Jersey governor dropping out of the race for the GOP presidential nomination. Sanders says, “We have got to stand up to the Trumps of the world who are trying to divide us up”.
