Chris Christie expected to end 2016 White House bid

US Republican presidential candidate John Kasich, who has struggled to generate enthusiasm for his campaign, made a surprise showing on Google Trends on Tuesday in the run-up to New Hampshire’s primary.

Hours after the terrorist attack in November in Paris, Sanders barely mentioned terrorism in a debate when asked – totaling about 20 seconds – before switching back to his standard stump speech.

Christie arrived at the Morristown headquarters shortly after 4 p.m.to inform staffers and volunteers of his decision, Christie campaign spokeswoman Nicole Sizemore confirmed.

But he also acknowledged that it has been an unpredictable, insane campaign so far. “You just simply haven’t”, Christie said. “That is both the magic and the mystery of politics – you never quite know when which is going to happen, even when you think you do”.

“And so today, I leave the race without an ounce of regret”. “Mary Pat and I thank you for the extraordinary display of loyalty, friendship, understanding and love”. He officially announced his presidential bid on June 30, saying, “I am now ready to fight for the people of the United States of America”. And countless others were mired in traffic jams after access lanes from the town of Fort Lee to the George Washington Bridge were closed in an act of political retribution.

“By last spring he was completely counted out and left on the side of the road”, longtime Christie confidant Bill Palatucci said Wednesday evening. “We’ve seen really good energy across the county from women of all ages”, Schriock said. “But I’m very proud of what he was accomplishing with very little help and very little resources”.

“Trump is a phenomenon we’ve never dealt with before, where 98 percent of the media coverage focuses on one candidate who is bigger than life”, he told McClatchy, adding that the idea of Trump as the nominee is “sick”.

Christie now faces a slew of unsolved problems and rock-bottom approval ratings in New Jersey from residents who, polls show, feel he neglected New Jersey to pursue his national ambitions.

Before heading to South Carolina, Sanders will be in NY on Wednesday, where he will have breakfast with the Rev. Al Sharpton at Sylvia’s Harlem Restaurant.

Christie had banked his campaign on a strong finish in the state, but placed sixth in New Hampshire, despite having spent more than 70 days campaigning in the state.

Trump was leading in SC among all demographic groups, an NBC/Marist/Wall Street Journal poll showed, with Cruz and Florida Sen.

His motto of “Telling It Like It is” was hamstrung by real estate tycoon Donald Trump, who became the favorite of the angry voters the governor sought to court.

For Bush, there is deep family history in SC.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, the conservative firebrand and victor in the leadoff Iowa caucuses, returned to the center of the action after largely sitting out New Hampshire. In a televised hustings on February 6th he turned on his rival Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, deriding him as an over-rehearsed and inexperienced novice.

We as a culture already use government workers as shorthand for losers, people who couldn’t hack it in the “true competition” of the private sector and suckers who took a lower-paying job to do less work than the rest of us.

Despite the optimism, Christie supporters had reasons for concern.

Clinton’s campaign argues she will perform better as the race heads to more racially diverse states, including Nevada and SC. Christie was just a predator in a closed system that suddenly gained a new apex predator – a piranha in a river into which a mutated lungfish was deposited by bilge water from an unregulated Chinese freighter.

Martin pointed to major gains in Christie’s favorability over the course of the campaign, which he described as “a testament to his skills and ability as a communicator and a candidate”.
