Trump calls out Bush family over eminent domain
“Wow, Jeb Bush, whose campaign is a total disaster, had to bring in mommy to take a slap at me”, Donald Trump tweeted Saturday.

Conservatives wary of the overgrown state – like those in New Hampshire – are sharply critical of the power to seize property for private projects, like casinos, that was made possible thanks to a 2005 Supreme Court decision, Kelo v. New London.
The crowd of 1000 people included fewer than 70 donors to the Republican National Committee, a spokesperson for the group said after the debate. Without it, you wouldn’t have roads, you wouldn’t have hospitals, you wouldn’t have anything.
“It’s who it is”, Trump said. Eminent domain should not be used for private purposes.
“Eminent domain is a very important thing”, Trump said.
“I met him, he’s voting for me”, Bush said energetically. “I didn’t take the property”, Trump shot back, saying he walked away from the deal. “Jeb Bush doesn’t understand what it means, and if you look into the Bush family – I found this five minutes ago – they used eminent domain for the stadium in Texas, where they own, I guess, a piece of the Texas Rangers”.
Here is what is downright wrong: that Jeb Bush as governor of Florida was too afraid of Big Sugar to do anything to alleviate the conditions that have rematerialized this winter in Lake Okeechobee watersheds and the disastrous disposal of hundreds of billions of gallons of polluted farm runoff into the St. Lucie River, Indian River and Caloosahatchee.
Speaking directly to the booing audience, Trump explained: “We needed tickets, you know who has the tickets?”
“He said if he wins New Hampshire he’s going all the way, so we’ve got his back”, a local Spanish teacher Coral Hampe, 33, told MSNBC outside the shop, adding that she wouldn’t even consider another candidate unless Christie was out. We have all donors in the audience.
Trump repeatedly pointed to the Keystone XL pipeline as an example of something that conservatives support, but which wouldn’t be possible without eminent domain. And the reason they’re not loving me…
He then blamed the fact that the crowd booed him on not needing their money. And I’m the only one up here that can say that. “I have my views on this”, said Jeb Bush.
