Bill Clinton unloads on Bernie Sanders and his ‘mythical establishment’

Speaking at a community college in Manchester, New Hampshire, Clinton noted that Sanders received donations from the Democratic Party’s main Senate fundraising arm, which had in turn gotten money from Wall Street. “I also think Hillary’s own age may simply have less appeal and relevancy to those female voters who are much younger than she is”.

The Clinton campaign is renting office space inside the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Council 25 state headquarters at 600 W. Lafayette Blvd. “You’re just for me or against me”, Clinton said and the crowd laughed. From the beginning, [the campaign’s top pollster and strategist Joel] Benenson was frustrated that he was forced to split his time between defending his boss on emails and defining a path for her candidacy.

“And I will say this to them”, Clinton continued. Bernie Sanders’ positions on health care, his assertion that Hillary Clinton is a part of the establishment during his fiercest attack on the candidate ahead of Tuesday’s pivotal primary. “Vicious trolling and attacks that are literally too profane, often not to mention sexist, to repeat”. The self-described democratic socialist from Vermont can not afford to stumble in New Hampshire, which neighbors his home state. The former president also has higher favorability ratings than his wife, and Sanders’ sky-high ratings have been an obstacle for the Clinton campaign in landing attacks on Sanders.

“Bernie took what they said good about him and put it in under all these endorsements, except they didn’t endorse”, Clinton said.

The remarks came on the heels of a Politico story that cited a half dozen political insiders insisting the Clinton campaign was headed toward big change. I’ve said they’re going to wreck the economy over the mortgage markets.

Mr. Sanders passed up all that Monday, instead telling supporters, “We have come a long way in the last nine months”.

Devine then adds that he asked Bernie the same question and Bernie said he was not part of the establishment. Clinton holds an nearly 20-point lead in Nevada, where Democrats caucus on February 20, and an nearly 30-point lead in SC, which votes February 27. Once the primary reaches SC, it will kick off a run of states that Clinton will be favored to win.

Amanda Rodriguez, 37, said she and other younger women are more concerned about the issues and whether their political beliefs align with the candidates than possibly older women who may be more focused on seeing women gain some footing when it comes to the White House.

In recent days Bill Clinton has accused some Sanders supporters of waging “sexist” attacks. “I think women my age are confident that a woman will soon be president and do not view it as the milestone it really is”. “This is about whether we can improve people’s lives”.
