Marco Rubio: Debate Attack Didn’t Help Chris Christie
Trump says on “CBS This Morning” that he and Christie spoke after the New Hampshire primary Tuesday, in which Trump won a big victory and Christie fared poorly.

New Hampshire is just one state, but the exit poll numbers coming out of it do not lend themselves to an obvious anti-Trump strategy.
In the much more crowded Republican primary, Trump had 35.4 percent – more than double any of his rivals.
The fundraising bump came after he trounced Clinton 60 per cent to 38 per cent in New Hampshire, the second contest to determine the party standard bearer for the 2016 White House race.
“Well, unfortunately, it created a distraction that didn’t allow us at the end of the campaign there to close with our message because everybody wanted to talk about the fact that I said the same thing a couple times”, Rubio said.
So where do the other candidates go from here? “We have to vote”.
Clinton is seen as enjoying strong support among black voters and Sanders, realizing the need to boost his standing with African Americans, met Wednesday with prominent civil rights activist Al Sharpton in NY.
Johnson said: ‘He, like everybody else in America, is taken aback’. “Mary Pat and I thank you for the extraordinary display of loyalty, friendship, understanding and love”.
Clinton said she recognized the American electorate’s fury with establishment politics.
“People have every right to be angry”. They’re hungry for solutions. But Clinton should do better in more diverse states, including SC, where the Democratic primary will be held on February 27. I’m not going to help him, ‘ ” Kasich said.
Kasich has a stronger financial base and is a more substantial figure within the GOP than Huntsman, but confronts significant obstacles in SC and other even more conservative Southern battlegrounds. Ohio Governor John Kasich must try to generate more momentum after a second-place finish in New Hampshire, Cruz must solidify his position with evangelical voters and Bush needs upward movement anywhere he can get it.
It was a must win for Trump, after his embarrassing performance in the Hawkeye State called into question his frontrunner status and brand as a victor. Marco Rubio, Texas Sen. Mrs Clinton’s campaign deployed SC state congressman Todd Rutherford to vouch for her support for minorities. But Christie largely spent the majority of his presidential run among the lower ranks of candidates, concerned more with qualifying for the main debate stages than commanding them.
According to Matt Moore, Chairman of the South Carolina Republican Party, “National Security and economic security people want our country to be kept safe but they also want opportunity they want jobs for their families”.
Donald Trump says he will release his tax returns “over the next few months”, attributing the delay to the size and complex nature of his taxes. “I’m grateful that they ran”.

Heading into the debate, Trump was taking swipes at Cruz and Bush, who finished third and fourth in the New Hampshire primary.
