Clinton counters Sanders with ad barrage in Minnesota
Democrat candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders asked one pointed question, which he believes draws a substantial distinction between his candidacy and Hillary Clinton’s.

When Sanders challenged Clinton on her acceptance of campaign contributions from Wall Street, Clinton used Obama as a shield, noting that he had received a large amount of campaign cash from the financial sector but still pushed for the Dodd-Frank financial regulatory overhaul bill, passed in 2010.
class=”glossaryLink cmtt_Politicians” Bernie Sanders is a single-issue candidate himself. “The Vermont Senator is also calling for progressive change regarding our drug laws, including ending cannabis prohibition, and reforming our criminal justice system, tackling institutional racism head-on in the process”.
Almost all the US Republican presidential candidates will take the stage at CBS News’ televised debate on Saturday, with Donald Trump flanked by rivals Ted Cruz and Jeb Bush, the network said. She argued repeatedly that Sanders had failed to provide a specific way to pay for his plan, and turned the exchange into an overall critique of the Vermont senator’s proposals.
Clinton dodged an opportunity to distance herself from former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright’s recent controversial comments that there was “a special place in hell” for women who don’t support other women.
THE FACTS: Sanders exaggerated the rate of incarceration for black males, as Clinton did in an earlier debate.
“And we can no longer continue to sweep it under the rug”, Sanders said.
“I’m more about agendas than a candidate right now”, said Sharpton.
Still, many Black pundits have expressed disappointment over Sanders’ history of favoring a strictly class-based analysis over race, though pressure from activists associated with the Black Lives Matter movement has succeeded in shifting both his positions and rhetoric.
Moreover, as Bass points out, Clinton’s connection to Kissinger also reinforces the view that she’s pure establishment, the ultimate creature of Washington.
The racial makeup of Sanders’ suggests he is making a major push to win over South Carolina’s Black population, which accounts for 50 percent of voters who turn out on election day. Of the eight students whose minds were made up, four students said they planned to vote for Clinton.
“It is a very good firewall, although it’s not as strong as I would have said last week or two weeks ago”, said Robert Oldendick, professor of political science at the University of SC. “We have got to stand up to the Trumps of the world, who are trying to divide us”, Mr Sanders said.
And from First Read: Has the Dem race become a referendum on Bernie Sanders?
Candidates usually avoid taking swipes at home-state politicians during debates, but Walker (who ran his own brief presidential campaign before dropping out in September last year) is a lightning rod for Wisconsin Democrats.
Their differences, though, are substantial: Sanders’ climate plan is much more comprehensive than Clinton’s and will reduce greenhouse gas emissions at a faster rate.
Hillary Clinton has a fever and the only prescription is more Obama.
Exit polls in New Hampshire showed Clinton-the only woman still vying for the White House-receiving 44 per cent of the female vote, compared to 55 per cent for Sanders.
“Let’s not insult the intelligence of the American people”, Sanders shot back. The senator said, “Absolutely, because what we will do is say, instead of giving tax breaks to billionaires, we are going to create millions of jobs for low-income kids so they’re not hanging out on street corners. I guess just for the fun of it, they want to throw money around”.

At Thursday’s Democratic debate, both Hillary Clinton and Sen. However, both agreed on the state of the country’s economy. But Clinton’s stunning upset in New Hampshire revealed for the first time that she could count on working-class white Democrats, who loudly and clearly told Obama, “not so fast”.
