When Rousey fell in the hands of Holly Holm in UFC 193 past year, it was White who was the first one to guarantee fans that Rousey will be bouncing back. TMZ released photos of the training session, with most showing the 29-year-old former champion throwing combinations at a body bag and grappling with coach Edmond Tarverdyan. Holm expressed interest in fighting once before meeting Rousey, and she got her way. It’s a loss that sticks with Rousey all these months later.

This is great news considering the injuries she sustained after getting knocked out by Holm meant she wasn’t able to handle any impact for three to six months afterwards.
Regardless of how much Tate trains her striking, and regardless of whom she trains with, she’s going to have a hard time making much ground on Holm by fight night. In the interim, she has focused on her acting career, with a “Road House” remake and “Mile 22” with Mark Wahlberg on her schedule.
Should Tate be successful in her attempt to wrestle the title away from Holm, she will become only the third woman to hold the bantamweight title.
She said: “I think Ronda went into that fight with Holly thinking, if I don’t finish this girl in under two minutes, I’m already a failure, ‘ and she went in there with such desperation to get a quick finish”. White believes Rousey will be ready for the fight, which he said could take place in November.
Rousey is still recovering from the loss to Holm and is expected to return to action by the end of the year.

The UFC ultimately chose to scrap that plan all together and put Holm in a title fight against Miesha Tate instead at UFC 196 on March 5.
