On Thursday’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy said that he had a special guest, announcing, “Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for the quarterback of the Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos”.

Not only did she get the final score of Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers wrong and didn’t know who was MVP, it turns out that Manning shops at Sears, went to the University Florida (he actually played for Tennessee), likes Maroon 5 and eats French Fries and French Toast. He congratulated me and wished me the best. It’s not a popularity contest.

– Cam Newton said he has no apologies for his post game actions after the Super Bowl at the end of season news conference Tuesday.

“I think he was analyzing the game and kind of into the game like I would be as if he was playing it”, Peyton Manning said. “I am here to win football games… for this organization, for Mr. Richardson, for my teammates… and for my fans”.

As players were clearing out their lockers on Tuesday, Newton said, “If I offended anybody that’s cool, but I know who I am and I’m not about to conform nor bend for anybody’s expectations because yours or anybody’s expectations would never exceed mine”.

They again lauded the wicked defense that snatched both the leather and the silver footballs from Cam Newton’s grasp Sunday night in Santa Clara, California.

“I want players that hate to lose”, Gettleman said. “I’m proud of the fact that they’re willing to stand up for him”. As far as trying to be like this person or that person, I heard numerous quotes about ‘What if this person was in that situation?

“It happened”, Newton said.

“I’ve got no more tears to cry”, he said.

“He was able to compose himself today and speak to you folks, and I think that’s huge. The truth of the matter is that I still don’t want to talk to the media”. You stay in his corner, and I firmly believe he is going to get us all there eventually.

Broncos cornerback Chris Harris Jr. was loud and excited when he was talking to reporters after Super Bowl 50.

Let’s not say yes, because we’re all going to need something to argue about this offseason. We don’t play this game for a participation trophy. That it didn’t show after the Super Bowl doesn’t mean we should define him as one thing or another thing. It was a touchdown that all but assured older brother Peyton would capture his second Super Bowl victory, which tied Eli’s tally.
