Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar lead MTV VMAs nominations

Leveraging her Instagram following for maximum theatrics, Miley Cyrus announced she’d again host the MTV Video Music Awards where she’ll emcee the event – the first one since 2012 when Kevin Hart earned that title.

“I’ve done nothing but love & support you”. Taylor Swift and Minaj traded words on Twitter after the rapper said…

Best female video award will see Ellie Goulding for “Love Me Like You Do, ‘ Beyonce for “7/11, ‘ Nicki Minaj for ‘Anaconda”, Sia for ‘Elastic Heart” and Swift for Blank Face competing with each other.

Even though there were some people who raised their eyebrows due to her performance, which was a sort of a shocker to all her Hannah Montana fans by the way, twerking kind of stuck in the consciousness of the viewers.

Cyrus, who won video of the year last year for “Wrecking Ball“, dominated the 2013 VMAs when she grinded on Robin Thicke during a performance that trended heavily on social media.

However, Minaj denied she was throwing any shade at Swift.

Swift’s pal Ed Sheeran leads the men, landing six nominations overall, including four for single “Thinking Out Loud” – including Video of the Year – and another pair for “Don’t”.

U must not be reading my tweets.

“Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you and I’mma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time”. I just thought that caption was flawless for that pic!

“Anaconda”, released a year ago, has 488 million views on YouTube.
