When all was said and done, Taylor had an idea to make things right.

Kardashian then clarified she meant no harm, tweeting, “Wait wait I’m in Paris it’s the middle of the night & I’m posting my Vogue Spain pics not having a clue what’s going on in the music world”, adding, “I’m not trying to shade anyone!”

Pop singer Taylor Swift has received nine nominations followed by British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran who received six nominations.

Swift’s superhero themed video will compete for the accolade with Beyonce’s “7/11, ‘ Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud“, Ronson’s ‘Uptown Funk” and Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Alright.’.

She also took to Instagram to post a amusing meme – a collage of photos with her and Beyonce not looking too pleased – with the statement, “The beyhive and barbz looking at each other after seeing feeling myself not being nominated like #VMAs”.

Responding directly to Minaj’s tweet, Swift wrote: “I’ve done nothing but love & support you”.

“Huh? U must not be reading my tweets”, Minaj replied. “Didn’t say a word about u”.

Cyrus made waves last year when she won the video of the year trophy and invited a young homeless man named Jesse Helt on stage to accept the trophy on her behalf. The former two are pitted against each other for Best Male Video and Best Pop Video. Minaj is also up for best collaboration for “Bang Bang” with Ariana Grande and Jessie J.

“Bad Blood,” the action-packed clip that starred Lena Dunham, Selena Gomez and Lamar, has 360 million views on YouTube.
