A Friday night Nashville varsity basketball game had some extra emotions when Franklin Road Academy team manager Robert Lewis suited up and drained a last-minute three-pointer.

Lewis swished his second three-point attempt and FRA students carried him off the court.

“I got the ball…there was five seconds left in the fourth quarter, I was back in the corner”, Lewis said. Apparently, Lewis’ brother was playing for the visiting team.

He shot for a 3-pointer, and it was up and in.

While it was Robert who hit the shot, the night was special for the entire Lewis family, including the player guarding Robert, his younger brother and a junior at USN, Matthew.

“I was so happy that everyone loved me so much, and after the game everyone was crying with joy and I saw it through people’s eyes and I loved it”, Robert added.

“After the game, everyone picked me up and said, ‘Money Robert!’ I just loved it”, said Robert.

“If we’re ahead comfortably or behind and kind of out of the game, we’ll put those guys in at the end of the game, and we’ve had some good moments with those guys over the last 10 years”, Franklin Road Academy coach John Pierce told FOX Sports.

The video has gone viral after it was uploaded, collecting more than one million views since it was shared on Saturday. “I was really proud of our guys for getting the ball to him and letting him get a couple shots, and the way it all happened – I would have never imagined that it would happen like that”.
