Zika virus spreads by sex — CDC advisory
A post-abortion autopsy found the Zika virus in the fetus’ brain but, remarkably, no other organs, reported researchers from the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia. I have instructed the Port Health Services of my Ministry to immediately adjust and include points of entry screening to capture anti-Zika activities.

There is no vaccine for Zika. It causes severe developmental issues and, in some cases, can result in death.
“However, we are advising all people, but especially pregnant women, or women who may be trying or intending to get pregnant, to avoid travelling to those countries and places where there has been Zika outbreaks”. The best prevention is by avoiding mosquito bites, by wearing long sleeves and long trousers and using insect repellents. All Army medical facilities have been notified of the concerns surrounding Zika infections and are prepared to assist patients who may have been infected. But there have been miscarriages reported in Brazil, the epicenter of a Zika epidemic that now spans almost three dozen countries.
Health officials have confirmed a pregnant woman in Victoria has been diagnosed with the Zika virus. “The spigot is the mosquitoes”, the company’s CEO said.
What are the symptoms and effects? The virus has since spread throughout much of the Caribbean, Central America and South America. Guillain-Barre can cause paralysis in adults.
Aside from either of these conditions, there are no lasting, long-term effects of Zika.
What should I do if I think I’ve been exposed?
The WHO estimates four million people could be infected with the mosquito-borne illness by the end of the year.
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, however, you should contact your doctor about being tested for Zika. This usually makes its diagnosis often hard.
“There is as of now, no known specific treatment for Zika virus disease”.
Of people infected with the Zika virus, 80 percent do not have any symptoms.
– Take medicine such as acetaminophen (Tylenol) to reduce fever and pain. If in doubt, check with your health care provider prior to making travel plans.
The U.S. blood supply is also being monitored closely.
“Travel is part of our lives and it’s the way we become part of our viewers’ lives, but we just have to be smart about it”, said Cesar Sabroso, senior vice president/marketing for the Coral Gables-based company, which brings viewers across Latin America and Brazil channels such as A&E, History, H2, and Lifetime.

MIAMI (AP) _ The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is hosting a conference call and webinar with Florida hospital workers to discuss the spread of the Zika virus. Officials don’t expect large outbreaks in the continental USA, but have warned that there could be limited local transmission, small clusters, in those areas, like there have been of related viruses carried by the same mosquito, the dengue and chikungunya viruses.
