Von Miller on Peyton Manning: ‘I don’t think he’s going to retire’
Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning took a pay cut at the beginning of the 2015 season, but now he’s getting it back.

“I’ve been on record to say I’m a sore loser”, the Panthers QB said Tuesday, via the Charlotte Observer.
“I was just focused on whether they were going for two, and knew the defense had to step up and make some stops.”
“I have seen so much about it. I have seen so much blown out of proportion”. This league is a great league with or without me. I understand that. I am my own person. And I’m happy to say that. I know what I’m capable of, and I know where I’m going.
“I want to stay with the Broncos for 15 to 20 years”, the upcoming free agent said, “but, you know, money talks, right?” But at least now the debate about why Newton didn’t jump on the football – arguably the most important moment of the game – can be put to rest.
“I would give it to DeMarcus and (Derek) Wolfe and all the other guys”, Miller said. Rivera admitted that the team was down after the loss and that they needed to rebuild that swagger, to regain their confidence. But he’s handled everything with poise and grace, both accepting ownership over what happened in the game, while also backing up his players, including Newton. Newton on Tuesday admitted as much, but he bristled at the suggestion his reaction was a lack of effort.
While Harris’ interview boomed in the background, Newton could be seen shaking his head before getting up and leaving, but on Tuesday he wasn’t using the close quarters for interviews as an excuse. I fumbled. That’s fine. “He hates to lose, that’s the bottom line”, Rivera said.
After hearing Newton, the Panthers players in the locker room started yelling, “We love you, Cam”.

We’d already learned the reason behind Eli Manning’s blank Super Bowl stare, and now another mystery from Sunday’s game has been solved. “Everybody reacts differently, and unfortunately, at the end of the day we didn’t get it done”. “It has everything to do with the fact that I think he quit on his team, and it was most evident by the way he did not jump on the football”.
