It’s easy to be cynical about a day that’s devoted to love and relationships.
Tabla player Zakir Hussain wished people and tweeted: “To all my dear tweeters a very Happy Valentines Day”. But I believe that treating Valentine’s Day as a chance to celebrate all kinds of love taught me from an early age that romance isn’t the only, or always the highest, form of love. We should want this for ourselves as well.
To all the single people on Valentine’s Day, don’t be sad.
