Lahore Qalandar keep their hopes alive by beating Peshawar
The South African southpaw in a 3rd wicket partnership with Umar Akmal plundered 101 runs at the rate of 9.46 runs per over against a strong Zalmi bowling attack.

Peshawar Zalmi come into this game on the back of an impressive seven-wicket win over Islamabad United on 12 February.
Next in, Malan supported Zalmi with the much needed zing of 35-ball 42 with three blistering sixes. Cooper (3 for 25) and Delport (3 for 18) were the pick of the bowlers for Lahore. Delport smashed six boundaries and three sixes for his 78.
Karachi Kings’ loss against Quetta Gladiators provided Lahore Qalandars an opportunity to stay alive in Pakistan Super League and they grabbed it with both hands.
However, captain Azhar Ali along with Cameron Delport repaired the damage and took the score to 57 before he was dismissed by Darren Sammy for 25.
Zalmi had won only 1 of their previous 5 games so it was very important for them to win this game.
Left arm-spinner Mohammad Nawaz in particular has stood out, taking nine wickets so far, with just two games left, a win here will seal their progress to the semi-final. Now they required a six off the last ball of the match but they managed only single and lost the match by four runs.
Quetta limped to 104 for 4 at the end of the 15th over, scoring only 38 runs from the ninth to the 15th over, but the target of 127 set by Karachi was never going to be a big problem as they achieved it with seven balls to spare.
Karachi kept striking blows at various points, but did not have enough left to defend with, as handy knocks from Kevin Pietersen (26) and Sarfraz Ahmed (29 not out) lifted Quetta to its fifth win of the season.
Earlier, the Kings, who opted to bat after winning the toss, lost opener Nauman Anwar in the third over with just six on the board before England’s James Vince and captain Malik consolidated.

The Kings, who defeated Qalandars on Friday, were once again without the services of Mohamed Amir and the Gladiators also remain unchanged.
