Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger asks fans not to protest during Leicester game

AN ALBION fan will be cheering for Leicester for the rest of the football season after backing them to win the Premier League at 5,000-1.

Leicester City will be wary of a reality check when the Premier League front-runners visit Arsenal on Sunday before Tottenham Hotspur’s burgeoning title ambitions come under scrutiny at Manchester City.

In possibly the weirdest season ever in Premiership they have had so many opportunities to take over top of the table and win the title, but they managed to fail every single time.

The pacy Brazilian has made a good impression since he signed for the Gunners a year ago and Wenger has hinted that he will be used again to combat the speed of Jamie Vardy and the Leicester attack. And of course, the rest of the league is in action too, with several tough matches for teams in the relegation battle and a lot of key matches for teams vying for upper-midtable position.

“He is proving himself over and over and I hope he is at Arsenal for a long period because for any team to have a player who is willing to do the hard job then it makes it harder for the opposition to pass through your defence”.

Earlier in the day Wenger reminded his Leicester counterpart that he had never lost to him in league football.

Victory for Arsene Wenger’s side would cut the gap at the top to just two points and the Frenchman knows that if they are to clinch the league title, this is a match they need to win.

All the pressure is on Arsenal to overcome Leicester City in tomorrow’s huge top of the table clash at the Emirates Stadium, believes former Gunners and City striker Alan Smith.

“I only had 60p left in my online account, so I put it on them, and I wish I’d put more on now”.

“We want to find a consistency in our results until the end of the season, because we have big game after big game now. I don’t think that we have a massive problem on that front”. This time I hope the bookmakers are right. I think we work so hard to achieve this level, we want to stay at this level.
