Pennsylvania lawmakers seek investigation of Planned Parenthood in wake of
The edited eight-minute video, released by anti-abortion activists at the Center for Medical Progress, shows two unseen people posing as representatives of a fetal tissue procurement company and speaking with Dr. Mary Gatter, a member of Planned Parenthood’s Medical Directors’ Council.

Gatter allegedly suggested modifying the abortion procedure to provide more intact fetuses.
Outspoken GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump weighed in on the current controversy surrounding Planned Parenthood on TheBlaze TV Tuesday night, calling the group’s practice of selling parts of aborted fetuses “disgusting”.
Planned Parenthood also said in the letter to the chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which last week launched an investigation into the claims in the video, that more videos could surface.
The woman identified as Gatter says in the video, “We’re not in it for the money”, while also discussing whether a payment of $100 per specimen would be adequate. “And you can’t give even the faintest suggestion that you are going to change the technique because you have an interest in getting fetal tissue”.
In the video released Tuesday, the undercover actors ask Gatter “what sort of compensation” she would seek for intact tissue. There is no reason in the world to have Planned Parenthood other than abortion, no tax payer dollar should go to it because they are indirectly, if not directly, paying for abortion. If it’s still low, we can bump it up.
In a statement, Planned Parenthood Kansas City president Laura McQuade said, “Our affiliates do not have or participate in tissue donation programs”.
And regardless of the outcome of the investigations, Planned Parenthood’s actions are still “inhuman and troubling”, Yoest said. Planned Parenthood maintains that it has done nothing illegal.
The second video in an investigative series from the Center for Medical Progress exposing Planned Parenthood’s illicit sale of aborted baby body parts has now been released.
However, President Barack Obama’s top spokesman Josh Earnest has emphasized Obama will not agree with pro-life Republicans in Congress to revoke funding for Planned Parenthood, which received almost $46 million in federal grants in 2015, according to government records, for non-abortion-related activities.

But in a statement on its website, the center said Planned Parenthood’s initial decision against sending Nucatola to the House committee shows “contempt for the law against selling baby parts”.
