Christie, Fiorina quit race

The Republican establishment did what they had to do – they found the best alternative to Trump. Iowa has set the stage and determined the cast for this race.

CNN and Yahoo Politics reported that Sanders and Clinton each now have 15 delegates in New Hampshire.

“To young girls and women across the country, I say: do not let others define you”, Fiorina wrote.

Meanwhile, attendees inside the rally appeared more forgiving of Rubio’s performance in New Hampshire. What has come as a surprise is how poorly Marco Rubio performed at the debate. That was until he blew it during Saturday’s Republican debate, after which he was lucky to hold on to fifth place in New Hampshire. She finished behind Christie, in seventh place, with just over 4 percent of the vote. In Republican races, Pat Buchanan squeaked by Bob Dole in 1996, and John McCain rolled over George W. Bush in 2000; among Democrats, the late Paul Tsongas beat Bill Clinton in 1992, and Hillary Clinton edged out Barack Obama in 2008.

Behind Cruz are Florida Senator Marco Rubio and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush with 12.7 percent and 10 percent respectively. “We leave New Hampshire tonight without an ounce of regret, not for the time we’ve spent, and for the thousands of people tonight in New Hampshire who will have voted for us”. This is something that neither Chris Christie nor Carly Fiorina are able to say.

Cruz, the USA senator from Texas, has for weeks envisioned the Palmetto State as the site of a showdown between himself and Trump, both of whom now have wins under their belt heading into the third nominating contest. Republican voters just haven’t liked Bush much so far, even though he’s outspent everyone. We have little polling this week, but Bush still probably trails Rubio in SC and nationally.

The Ohio governor – and former congressman – on Wednesday defended his foreign policy experience at an appearance in SC, citing his long tenure on the House Armed Services Committee.

Clinton already has an advantage among black voters compared to Sanders and the CBC endorsement could solidify that support as she struggles to draw in other demographics, particularly young people. The former will continue to be attacked as part of an establishment corrupted by money.

Christie: Iowa and New Hampshire did not agree on which mainstream Republicans to advance, but they did agree that Chris Christie isn’t one of them.
