Taylor Swift wins early Grammy for ‘1989’ album
In the pre-show honors (with 83 Grammy categories, most awards are given out before the broadcast), Swift won two trophies, for best pop vocal album and best music video.

The win was his fifth of the night so far on 11 nominations – a tribute to the popularity of Lamar, who controversially came away empty-handed two years ago. Swift’s other win was for best pop vocal album for “1989”.
Jack Antonoff, one of the producers of Swift’s “1989” album, called her from the podium.
Taylor Swift and The Weeknd will be going head to head tonight-both artists lead the pack with seven nominations.
He beat Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Swift, The Weeknd and fellow Brit Ellie Goulding to the prize, for his ballad Thinking Out Loud.
