A government official on Sunday demanded resignation of Azad Kashmir Prime Minister (PM) Chaudhry Abdul Majeed, holding him responsible for the worker’s death in Kotli.

Further, Pakistan People’s Party workers on Monday protested on Shaheed Chowk in Kotli in connection with the “Black Day” observed by the party.
The opposition leader said PPP legislators would have been hanged by now had the killings been done in Karachi or Peshawar. Khurshid Shah said it was deplorable that some ministers were dictating the prime minister through their statements.
Sardar Yaqoob said if a unit is formed by combining Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan then he was ready to quit his office for the sake of his brothers from Gilgit. “We will not allow anyone to practise the politics of baton and bullet in our territory”. “Despite our efforts, policy of reconciliation could not move forward”, he said.
“Azad Kashmir must not be construed Lahore… they (PML-N) should not think they can conquer our workers by using vandals like Gullu Butt”, he said.
“I offer my condolences to the bereaved family”.
Majeed said the party would not allow the PML-N central leadership to steal the mandate of the people in the coming elections.
Mr Haider, who is Leader of the Opposition in the AJK Assembly, called for a judicial inquiry to unearth the facts. The language used by the participants of the rally caused the unfortunate incident. The leader of the opposition also pointed out that privatisation was meant to retire the national debt but the country was still paying Rs1,300 billion aspayment of interest on debt.
“It’s the PPP which is creating law and order problems under a well thought-out plan because they know that they are now a rejected lot”, Mr Haider said.
PM Nawaz Sharif’s Special Advisor Asif Kirmani said that Azad Kashmir PM has failed to protect the lives and properties of the people.
Dr Kirmani alleged that the AJK prime minister was in Nakial and giving directives to activists of his party during the clash.
“PPP leaders Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto should better depute some sane person to get correct information about the incident”, he added. The minister offered Leader of the Opposition to become arbitrator and said he and the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister would bring the record of the incident before him.

The state president held that blood of Chaudhry Munshi Khan will not go to waste, adding that time has proved that Azad Kashmir is still a mini Larkana.
