Barclays analyst Blayne Curtis and Christopher Hemmelgarn have hinted the possibilities of Apple adding new earbuds which can replace audio jack, TechnoBuffalo reported. The headphone jack on the iPhone 6s is located along the same edge as its single speaker, which might make it a natural location to expand into stereo. Its competitors at Android feature stereo speakers and in many cases, better sound.
In other iPhone processor news, a report from Electronic Times says that Apple is partnering exclusively with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. for the A10 processor, leaving sometimes partner-most times rival Samsung in the cold.
To date, a good number of smartphones in the market are already fitted with stereo speakers.
