Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders Attend Same Service at Las Vegas Church
Clinton said President Obama’s name 22 times and made numerous references to his policies during Thursday’s Democratic debate hosted by PBS Newshour. That includes raising money, identifying and contacting supporters and recruiting volunteers, said Clinton backer and longtime Wisconsin-based political activist Heather Colburn.

Wadi Gaitan, a spokesman for the Florida Republican Party, said that, “Hillary Clinton’s last minute decision to skip Florida is a clear sign that her campaign is in crisis after her devastating loss to Bernie Sanders in New Hampshire”.
Nevada’s caucuses have increased in importance for the Clinton campaign, especially after Sanders handily defeated Clinton in New Hampshire last Tuesday.
“You had a very pointed, some would say divisive, campaign in 2008 between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, and ultimately Barack Obama was elected president and he asked Hillary Clinton to be his Secretary of State”, she pointed out. Clinton ended the debate by criticizing Sanders for saying in an interview with MSNBC that Obama had failed the “presidential leadership test”.
“Real change in America has never taken place from the top on down”, Sanders said.
Mr Quirk-Garvan noted the huge influx new residents into the region from the north-eastern U.S., many of them white and likely to be more familiar with Mr Sanders. While Clinton wins people over 50, Sanders has a lock on the younger feminists.
Then there’s this. It’s unseemly for a candidate who is railing against income inequality to take $225,000 for an hour or so of work when it takes a typical American household four years to earn that much. Clinton presented herself as a continued voice for the underrepresented with her proposals to “rebuild the ladders of opportunity” and achieve comprehensive immigration reform. Sanders condemned Clinton’s use of a super PAC and sponsorship of free trade agreements.
“This state was decimated”, Sanders told the congregation.
“The main issue here is that we want somebody that is courageous”, said Mike Sciullo of Denver, who waited on the winding line to attend the Sanders rally.
By Friday, as Clinton traveled between SC and Minnesota, her African-American allies in Congress seized upon comments the Vermont senator made at the debate insinuating that race relations would “absolutely” be better under a future Sanders administration.
Earlier in the day, at Lee’s Sandwiches in Chinatown, Clinton met with Assemblywoman Irene Bustamante Adams, the chairwoman of the assembly’s Democratic caucus.
JUDY WOODRUFF: Sanders countered that Clinton’s claims are inaccurate, and he talked up his idea of higher taxes on Wall Street and having the wealthy to pay for his plans.

Sanders’ strength has startled Clinton’s campaign. “This is a “believe in the possibilities we can do together” kind of campaign”. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., speaks during the Humphrey-Mondale dinner at the St. Paul River Centre in St. Paul, Minn.
