Two teams that have strong ties to 2016 Pro Hall of Fame inductees will square off in the annual preseason game on August 7 in Canton, Ohio.

For the Colts, former head coach Tony Dungy and receiver Marvin Harrison will be inducted as well. They’ll be joined by long-time Packers quarterback Brett Favre.

Brett Favre’s Hall of Fame induction has led to the Packers playing a fifth preseason game in 2016. Alex Marvez of FoxSports.com passed along his thoughts about the extra preseason game back in September, and he understood this was the likely result. It has been a tradition that two of the team’s seeing former player being inducted will play in this game. He was also named the league’s MVP in three consecutive seasons: 1995, 1996 and 1997.

Ken Stabler, a former Alabama star, and Kevin Green, a former Auburn star, are members of the Class of 2016, making a Hall of Fame Game between the Oakland Raiders and Los Angeles Rams or Pittsburgh Steelers a natural for fans of the state’s latest Hall of Famers. The ceremony for the Hall of Fame is Saturday, Aug. 6. Two of Green Bay’s Hall of Fame Games ended early due to inclement weather.
