The confirmation came from a conversation on Twitter regarding the possibility of PC streaming to Xbox One.
If Microsoft enabled Windows 10 PCs to stream games to Xbox One, keyboard and mouse support would definitely follow.

Microsoft has confirmed that mouse and keyboard support are coming to Xbox One in the future.
Keyboard and mouse support could be added to Xbox One and still be limited to streaming situations, preventing users from gaining an advantage in multiplayer games. While controllers have been able to deliver a good experience for the majority of game genres, there are just some, such as real-time strategy and traditional MOBAs, that can only be played with a keyboard and mouse setup.
With all the talk about how the Xbox One and Windows 10 are going to work hand in hand with one another.
“Yep, keyboard and mouse support would need to be there for this to work, those aren’t far away”, he tweeted in response to a question about the Xbox One’s potential for mirroring a Windows 10 display.

For instance, in Call of Duty, the ability for a player on console to use the general PC control scheme will help even the playing field if cross platform play ever becomes available on that title as well, especially since mouse and keyboard are more accurate than a gamepad.
