In TV interviews and campaign events, front-runner Donald Trump threatened to sue Senator Ted Cruz of Texas over a negative TV ad, while Senator Marco Rubio of Florida accused Cruz of lying about his record, and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush questioned Rubio’s experience to serve as president.

The Cruz-funded website, TheRealRubioRecord.com, features the photo on a page about the “Rubio-Obama Trade Pact”, which accuses Rubio of casting the crucial vote to pass the Trade Promotion Authority bill in the Senate to give President Barack Obama authority to negotiate trade deals more quickly. “But our crowds are enthusiastic, we’re picking up support, and according to the polls I’ve seen, we’re in a dead heat for second place”.

“You have been threatening frivolous lawsuits for your entire adult life”, Cruz said of Trump. “Israel is our strong ally in a part of the world in which we do not have many real allies”.

“The 30-second spot, titled “Future”, highlights Rubio’s credentials to be commander in chief, arguing he is a candidate who can “bring a conscience” to Washington Republicans”. “We don’t want black concerns to leave with them”.

But he’ll also hit a restaurant with Cruz later in the day.

She’ll be on the campaign trail with Rubio through Saturday’s primary.

“I wanted somebody with fight, I wanted somebody with passion, I wanted somebody who had the conviction to do the right thing, but I wanted somebody humble enough to remember he works for all the people”, Haley said. The son of one former president and brother of another, Bush was a one-time frontrunner before the presidential race was overtaken by Trump’s outsized personality. Kingston acknowledged the internal strife on the call, saying the GOP is now in the middle of a “very tough family discussion”.

The U.S. Supreme Court rocketed into campaign headlines last Saturday after the death of Justice Antonin Scalia.

Although, there is no proof that Cruz was responsible for the fictitious Facebook post, Rubio’s senior adviser, Todd Harris said, “We don’t know whether the Cruz campaign specifically was behind this Facebook post or not”. “They are trying to win by using fear, smear and lies”.

Archie Trawick, a Cruz supporter from Lexington, put it more bluntly after a rally Tuesday in Columbia, where the Texas senator offered thinly veiled contrasts with Rubio and Trump on national security and foreign policy. “I think it continues a pattern of dishonest tactics and dirty tricks that the Cruz campaign has become known for”, Jacobs said.
