Lady Gaga’s Bowie tribute
Lady Gaga wanted everyone to experience what it’s like to be a David Bowie super-fan during her Grammys tribute.

In 2008, in the liner notes of her album, “The Fame“, Gaga thanked David Bowie for inspiring her. A year later, she listed his single “Rebel Rebel” as one of her favorite pop songs of all time.
But given the over-the-top energy and the musical prowess of David, who else could have pulled off the performance (and the Ziggy Stardust look) like Gaga did?
She closed the stunning, nearly seven minute long, performance with a rendition of Heroes, which garnered a standing ovation and plaudits from friends and fans.
Taking to the red carpet, the 29-year-old donned a floor-length blue coat over… well, not much else. “Damn it! What IS that word!?”, Jones tweeted.
The “Born This Way” singer’s performance was definitely the highlight of her tribute, but she’s been finding ways to pay homage to the legendary singer throughout the week.
His death came just days after his 69th birthday and release of his final album, “Blackstar”. Right in the middle was probably where Intel shone the most – Gaga rushed off behind a projector, which showed her superimposed with a bunch of cool holographic effects. However, Lady Gaga, who derived inspiration from the late artist, from the start of her career, always resorted to doing some out of the world, atrociously weird sh*t (something we loved Bowie for) but with class and swag!
The Chic star even referred to his and Bowie’s work together when indicating he wouldn’t be taking offence to the barrage of negative opinions, writing “Don’t take it so seriously”. I don’t know, it’s between her and Miley Cyrus.

David Bowie’s son, director Duncan Jones took to Twitter after Gaga left the stage and his tweet was cryptically critical. Audiences saw the singer move through some of Bowie’s iconic looks using Intel’s “digital skin”.
