Trump falls to second in national GOP race: NBC/WSJ poll
Leading nearly every GOP poll, Trump has no political experience but is setting out to ‘Make America Great Again.’ His campaign slogan which supports giving tax relief to the middle class and building a wall paid for by Mexico. Re-weighting the poll to reflect last month’s sample would give Trump a 26% to 25% edge over Cruz, according to an NBC News release. Ben Carson and John Kasich were at the bottom of the pack, at 6% and 4%, respectively.

But while Cruz may be up now nationally, rival Donald Trump still has a healthy lead in the latest SC polls.
Whatever the case, the poll has clearly fueled Trump’s negative feelings about Murdoch.
Other polls, including a CBS poll from Thursday, indicate Trump is continuing to lead the GOP field, showing that the real estate mogul has 35 percent of primary votes, with Cruz trailing way behind at 18 percent.
“What you don’t know yet”, he added, “is if the change is going to take place or if it is a momentary “pause” before the numbers snap back into place”.
The polls shows Republican primary voters seem to be connecting with Trump in a number of areas.
During an appearance Wednesday in SC ahead of Saturday’s primary, Trump spoke about the war on terror, saying torturing terror suspects works.
Cruz has been also criticized for two incidents before his Iowa caucus win.
Yesterday we took a brief look at the latest Quinnipiac national poll of the standing of the candidates in the races for the Republican and Democratic presidential nominations.
Donald Trump remains at the top of the reduced six-man GOP field – but there has been some movement as candidates have dropped out. Florida Senator Marco Rubio came in third at 17 percent.
Dole and others believe the only way to win back the White House in November is to unite the party behind a candidate who can appeal to its disparate factions, from tea party conservatives to more moderate voters.
In terms of favorability, 50 percent of likely voters have a favorable opinion about Trump, as opposed to the 43 percent who view him unfavorably. Trump is selected by more Republican voters than either Texas Senator Ted Cruz or Florida Senator Marco Rubio. The results are within the poll’s 4.9 percent margin of error.
