Tickets for the Magic’s overseas tilt against Toronto will go on sale at the beginning of the 2015/16 regular season.

This year’s Global Games schedule features seven games in seven different cities although only two – the Raptors/Magic game in London and a Celtics/Kings game on December 3 in Mexico City are regular season tilts.

The Magic last played in London during a pair of preseason games in 1993, when the team was led by four-time National Basteball Association champion and 15-time All-Star Shaquille O’Neal.

“We are proud to return to London”, he said.

Raptors president and general manager Masai Ujiri, a Nigerian who was named National Basteball Association Executive of the Year in 2013, hopes the only non-US National Basteball Association club can connect with worldwide fans. “This is a wonderful opportunity for us to continue in the NBA’s mission to make an impact globally”.

“I remember playing in London with the Magic in 1993”, Skiles said, “and I am sure our current players will relish this unique opportunity”.

Magic head coach Scott Skiles also has experience of playing in London, having represented the Orlando franchise when they travelled to the capital with the Atlanta Hawks as part of an exhibition series in 1993.
