Melisandre Is a Terrible Baby Shower Guest
Melisandre knows nothing about positivity and instead brought with her despair and darkness.

What do these have in common? When Melisandre mentions that she’s pretty sure Jon Snow is dead, Seth follows up with, “Pretty sure he’s dead?” to which she hesitantly deadpans, “Well, at least that’s the way it was left”.
Melisandre, last seen engineering the burning at the stake of an innocent child on Game of Thrones, did not make for the best baby shower guest.
Even though Meyers kept encouraging Melisandre to be more uplifting and positive, she continued to wreak havoc at the party by giving the gift of a Valyrian steel dagger to the baby (although to be fair, it was also a rattle), announcing that there was no heaven and that they were now living in hell, and setting a guest’s drink on fire.
Everyone has that one weird friend from college who somehow gets invited to all your big life milestones. Basically, she’s not fucking here for the run-of-the-mill baby shower small talk, and that’s something we can all relate to. One of the most anticipated new programming in 2016 is the upcoming Season 6 of HBO’s monster hit Game of Thrones.

The late-night comedian and his wife are expecting their first child, and in a show sketch on Thursday night, Meyers introduced Melisandre (actress Carice van Houten) as his old friend attending her first baby shower.
