In fact, they are already receiving the update. Moving to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, this update was announced at the Google I/O on May 28th previous year as Android M and later officially launched as Marshmallow on August 17th. However, Canadian carrier TELUS has confirmed the tentative Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow rollout date as March 9 for the Galaxy Note 5, the same day the carrier plans to release the update for the Galaxy S6 edge Plus.

The new update is arriving in two parts, with an update of about 97 MB, which prepares your phone for the upgrade and a second, larger update, which comes in at 1.32 GB, which will upgrade your device to the newest version. The T-Mobile support site says the update is live, so it’s time to fire up settings if you haven’t been pinged for the update yet. In the meantime, Samsung has released the Marshmallow Guide for Consumers, so the users will have an idea about what changes will bring Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow to the eligible smartphones and tablets. HTC’s Mo Versi delivered the news via Twitter, so check it out if you’ve yet to score the update. This is meant to manually get the Marshmallow update without having to wait for your carrier to push the update notification to your device.

Considering that this update has come to the LG G3 and LG G4 on Verizon, there is no reason to believe that it won’t be rolling out on other subscribers such Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T, and US Cellular.
