Inter director lets slip that ‘Mourinho is going to Manchester United’
Mourinho is already as short as 1/5 with bookmakers to become United’s next manager, while Van Gaal is overwhelming favourite to become the next Premier League manager out of a job.

Mourinho is quoted by La Stampa (via Sky Sports) as saying: “My next club?”
However, Mourinho has been linked with a return to the Serie A but has come out and denied those claims, despite the fact that he will be in attendance at the San Siro on Sunday.
The sister of former President Massimo Moratti spoke to calciomercato.com as she left a lunch meeting with Mourinho and her family.
“I just know that I love football and I will be back with the same passion and ambition as ever, having during this period a respectful behaviour to every manager and every club”.
“If I was Mourinho and given the opportunuity to take over at Man Utd, I would take it tomorrow and not wait until the end of the season”. “Inter have a project and that is [current Inter president] Erick Thohir and Roberto Mancini.
I’m not looking for a club, but there are clubs that are looking for me”. “I’m not looking for a club, it’s the clubs who are looking for me”.
The Portuguese stressed in the statement that, while he still has huge affection for Inter, he was not seeking to replace coach Roberto Mancini at the San Siro.
“Their ideas have my full support, and my hope is that the project of the Coach and the President continues with great success”.

The suggestion is that the Portuguese sensed that old mentor Louis van Gaal’s position was becoming increasingly precarious and went about ruining Chelsea’s season accordingly.
