He will undergo surgery for what’s called a hemorrhagic polyp, also known as a bleeding lesion, on the 57-year-old’s right vocal cord. Zeitel also treated The Who’s Roger Daltrey, Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, Lionel Richie, John Mayer and Adele. Donny Osmond’s representatives said, though, the singer’s operation should be done in time for him to reunite on stage with sister and co-star Marie Osmond at their home showroom inside the Flamingo following a scheduled hiatus in October.

Donny Osmond has more than five decades of performing experience under his belt, but all of that singing may have put a strain on his throat.

Despite his medical condition, the veteran entertainer doesn’t seem to be slowing down one bit and recently released his 60th album, “Soundtrack of My Life“.

“It was so much fun getting to choose songs that have meant so much to me in my life”, reflected Osmond.

ABC News reported that Smith, 23, had surgery on his vocal cords last May, and had to rest his voice for about a month afterward. However, being forced to stay silent was challenging, admitted the singer. And sitting in silence and knowing that I should be doing shows has killed me. And it’s all as planned and I’m gonna try my absolute best to sing my heart out for you every night.
