Galaxy S7: Leak reveals waterproofing, wireless charging

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge looks like it will be coming out with a 5.5 inched screen, and has an edged display. But speculations about the specs of the phone have been making rounds after images of the new devices leaked in the Internet. The two variants that are expected to release on the 21 of February, at the Galaxy Unpacked event at Barcelona are the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

For storage there will be a choice of either 32GB or 64GB, plus the microSD card slot for expansion and the handset will come with dual cameras.

A video of someone holding and showing off the supposed Galaxy S7, Samsung’s upcoming phone, was posted on Android Authority’s YouTube channel on Wednesday.

“Best viewed at full size: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CbIUSlpWcAQsCWG.jpg:orig”, Blass tweeted another photo of the devices on February 14. This includes charging the device on a dedicated charging plate and looking at the screen during a rain shower. They might come in a true “black” colour option this year apart from silver, white, and gold.

Rumors claim the Galaxy S7 will have a 5.1-inch screen while the S7 Edge will have a 5.5-inch screen. The smartphone will reportedly include a 3,000mAh battery, up from the S6’s 2, 550mAh and S7 Edge may have a 3,600mAh battery. Both the S7 and S7 Edge will likely retain the resolution of 1440x2560p as their predecessors with Super AMOLED displays.
