Taylor Swift donates United States dollars 250K to Kesha
A representative for Swift confirmed on Sunday night that Swift had donated the cash to help Kesha in her legal battle with Dr. Luke, the megahit producer.

And since the donation, the Camp Rock star tweeted: “Take something to Capitol Hill or actually speak out about something and then I’ll be impressed”.
There was also support from Alessia Cara and Wale.
“Frustrating to see women come forward with their past only to be shot down, not believed & disrespected for their bravery in taking action”, Lovato tweeted to her 34 million followers.
Taylor Swift reportedly donated $250,000 to Kesha, according to Kesha’s mother – but Demi Lovato does not feel that gesture is enough.
Demi Lovato has come to pop pal Kesha’s defence after the Tik Tok singer lost her bid to get out of her Sony contract last week (19Feb16). “Women empowerment is taking action now, not when it’s convenient”, she wrote. Lady Gaga tweeted that she was “in awe” of the courage Kesha has been displaying during the entire ordeal. To say so, if only to offset the “I’ve never liked her music, but…” set, seems immaterial in light of what she’s been through.
Kelly Clarkson, Ariana Grande, Lorde and Demi Lovato sent positive wishes to the singer on social media.
“Trying 2 not say anything since I can’t say anything nice about a person… so this is me not talking about Dr. Luke”.
The judge in NY declared that Kesha, 28, must honor her contract with Sony even though she has claimed that producer Dr. Luke had drugged and sexually assaulted her.

As Madeleine Davies points out in a blood-boiling overview for Jezebel, “She’s still signed to his label, and her work still belongs to him”.
