Donald Trump wealth details released by federal regulators

At his announcement, Trump released a one-page report that described his net worth as being approximately $US8.7 billion, but he indicated it would be more than $US10 billion after an unspecified “increase”.

But all presidential candidates are required to file financial reports and must swear to their accuracy.

Donald Trump’s full financial disclosure records are out.

The form, which were filed last week, showed 11 separate partnerships with which Trump was involved, valued at more than $50 million, reports the Wall Street Journal. That may be inadequate to capture the value of many of Trump’s assets.

It’s impossible to tell from the documents exactly how much Trump is worth because the figures are detailed in broad ranges, with the top category being “more than $50 million”.

Trump claimed last week that he made more than $213 million over the course of 14 seasons of his famed reality show “The Apprentice“.

If true, that would make Trump – who has led the crowded Republican presidential field in a handful of recent polls – the wealthiest person to ever run for the White House.

The document listed the speaking fees Trump has raked in, an issue that has already percolated as a point of scrutiny in the 2016 race – particularly as Bill and Hillary Clinton, the leading Democratic presidential candidate, have made millions of dollars over speaking engagements.

Amid the millions of dollars Trump has invested in blue chip companies, Trump has also invested between $100,001 and $250,000 in gold – a popular investment choice among a subset of conservative voters. But those figures may say more about the financial disclosure form’s quirks than Trump’s actual wealth.

The TV show host received $450,000 each for three speeches to a multilevel marketing company called ACN, according to his filing.

Of 15 books he’s published, most drew royalties of less than $201.

Trump, despite a lack of political experience and incendiary comments on immigration and Senator John McCain, is still tracking in first place – even after he said McCain was “not a war hero”. He noted that Forbes has recently estimated Trump’s net worth at billion, musing that Trump’s latest disclosure will likely prompt the magazine to reevaluate those conclusions. He has a long list of acting credits to his name: as well as his starring role in the now cancelled Apprentice, Trump has appeared in movies including Zoolander and Home Alone 2.
