Donald Trump heads to Georgia in first visit after SC sweep
He won 44 of the 50 delegates up for grabs in SC after winning in New Hampshire and coming in second to Sen.

Cruz also swiped that Rubio should have done better in SC against Trump because the Florida senator had endorsements from the state’s popular Sen.
Two other Republican candidates who finished low in South Carolina – Ohio Gov. John Kasich and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson – vowed to stay in the race.
“This has become a three-person race”, Rubio said of his strong finish, which with Bush leaving the race, bolsters his case that he is the candidate of mainstream Republicans.
“I want to begin by thanking the people of SC”.
Bush had campaigned in recent weeks with his mother, former First Lady Barbara Bush, and his brother George W. Bush, the 43rd president of the United States.
Trump opted against his trademark braggadocio in assessing the state of the race on Sunday.
Once each state has voted in the primaries or caucuses, the delegates won by each party candidate will go on to endorse them at party conventions in July.
After several nail-biting hours, final results showed Florida Senator Marco Rubio in second place in the Republican contest with 22.5 percent of the vote, narrowly ahead of Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who had 22.3 per cent.
Nate Jara ’16, vice president of the Cornell Democrats, predicted that Clinton’s victory in Nevada will build momentum for her campaign.
One year ago Jeb Bush was the odds on favorite to win the 2016 Republican presidential nomination. Despite his monetary support and a heritage that puts him among the supposedly most probable winners in politics, he seemed to lack the appeal that previous candidates from his family had.
Clinton came back from a bruising New Hampshire primary to prevail over Sanders in the Nevada caucus with the help of women, unions, and minority voters, according to entrance polls. That left Republicans cautiously optimistic last week that a “kinder, gentler” Wolf might now emerge as a month of budget hearings gets underway this week. Trump has even threatened to sue Cruz over his eligibility to be the president, citing his birth in Canada.
To be sure, Trump appears to be in a good position.
When asked why he had then retweeted his follower, Trump said that it was “because I’m not sure”. It’s tough, it’s nasty, it’s mean, it’s vicious, it’s attractive.

He looked beyond SC to March 1st when about a dozen states pick nominees for each of the parties. “You have to have a true conservative” to win.
