Martin Freeman’s Captain America: Civil War Role Revealed

According to CBM, “it’s perfectly feasible that we could see him unleashed as a secret weapon by one of the teams similar to how that Thor clone was utilized by Iron Man’s forces in the comics”. “Because there are so many different factions of who’s right and who’s wrong and who supports who”. One that’s been a big fat question mark up to this point is the government agent played by Martin Freeman. In Civil War he’s part of the Joint Counter Terrorist Centre.

Ruffalo took over the role of Bruce Banner, aka the Hulk, starting in The Avengers, but has been said to not be in Civil War. You can bet he’ll also have a strong presence in Black Panther’s solo movie outing scheduled for release in July 2018.

Freeman previously dropped some hints about his morally ambiguous character.

Generally, Ross’s character is the United States government’s Oxford-educated attache in Wakanda, the fictional African nation presided over by the Black Panther. He works in conjunction with the superheroes, and certain agencies that help to tame the superheroes’ power, I suppose.

So you might be none the wiser, but his presence is sure to make more sense in the context of Black Panther’s introduction in Civil War and T’Challa’s origin story. It looks a little bit like he’s playing one game when actually he’s playing another. I’m hoping they’ll really WINTER SOLDIER this thing! Co-director Joe Russo is promising that the return to Germany will bring Chris Evans’ Rogers “full circle”, sending him back to where it all began in a way that will no doubt be emotionally challenging for Cap. It is these fans that have been pondering non-stop as to his mysterious role in May’s “Captain America: Civil War”. After another worldwide incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team.
