Clinton, Trump come out on top in SC, Nev

“The truth is, we aren’t a single issue country”.

Sanders said in his statement that he congratulated Clinton, he’s proud of his campaign, and he’s expecting to leave Nevada with a “solid share” of the delegates available there.

Clinton’s victory speech from Las Vegas was a far different tone from her address in New Hampshire on February 8.

CLINTON: And this one’s for you. Her campaign manager, Robby Mook, ran her 2008 effort in the state, giving the contest special significance for some of the staff.

Sanders remained upbeat, noting that five weeks ago he trailed in Nevada by 25 points.

“We are going to be taking on a very powerful and well-funded super PAC, a super PAC that receives significant amounts of money from Wall Street and wealthy special interests”, he said.

When it comes to a caucus, Hillary Clinton likes things close.

And what about Clinton’s much-hyped firewall in states with large proportions of minority voters?

It looks like Hillary Clinton will win a narrow victory over Bernie Sanders in the Nevada caucuses.

Nevada registered Democrats such as students, Peace Corps volunteers, diplomats and members of the military and their families living overseas got on the equivalent of a conference call during caucus time Saturday and cast their vote. The state party said more than 31,000 registered online to participate.

Throughout the hectic evening for Clinton, she and her team remained as present as ever on Twitter where she sent out tweets of gratitude to her supporters. With 35 at stake, Clinton will gain at least 18.

Three delegates remain to be allocated, based on votes in the congressional districts.

By those numbers, Clinton won 74 percent of the support of voters 65 and older, as well as 61 percent among people 45 to 64. But the age breakdown between the two candidates remains as stark as it has been in the previous two state matchups. Meanwhile, the mother of Eric Garner and other mothers who lost their sons to gun violence or while in police custody are campaigning in SC for the former Secretary of State.

The candidates spent their final hours before the caucuses furiously trying to drive up turnout among their supporters.
