Angels star Mike Trout scratched because of sore left heel
To reduce some wear-and-tear on his sore heel, the Angels will save Trout from center field duties Wednesday and instead use Dan Robertson in the field. Missing one half of the Angels’ powerful one-two home run combination was OK.

Pujols homered in both games of a doubleheader for the first time in his career. “I’ve got to work on that a little more”. “I don’t recall anything“.
Sara Jones, a nursing major, also an avid baseball fan commented on her thoughts about the mid-summer classic, “I honestly feel it was an okay game, it could have been better”.
Trout said he felt “a lot better” after getting some treatment at the ballpark.
“I didn’t have my best stuff”, he said. Just walking on it, it was aching.
Los Angeles Angels’ Mike Trout celebrates as he rounds first after…
Presuambly the fire went out before the game began.
Trout, 23, is batting.307/.400/.614 with 28 home runs and 57 RBI in 395 plate appearances this season for the American League West-leading Angels.
Nationals 7, Mets 2: Clint Robinson’s two-run double to deep center was the biggest blow as the Nationals jumped on Mets starter Matt Harvey for five runs in the first three innings, and N.L. East-leading Washington beat second-place New York. “[Manager Mike] Scioscia said I would DH tonight and get back to the outfield tomorrow”.
Scioscia wanted to give the 35-year-old Pujols a day off, but was talked out of it.
The team’s last rainout came way back in June 1995, so Monday’s solution was, shall we say, novel. “I think that’s one of the things that makes him a special player”.
Angels: RHP Jered Weaver threw 60 pitches over four innings in a simulated game, the next step in his recovery from inflammation in his left hip.

“I can’t wait to see it”, Trout told reporters Tuesday (July 21). It was similar to the way he threw the ball the other day.
