Wonder Woman’s pal Etta Candy was spotted in a new collection of set photos published by The Daily Mail (via Comic Book Movie).

The actress, 43, looks more like her dad Jasper Carrott in his 1970s Funky Moped prime.

Wonder Woman is beginning to shoot, and one of the first locations to bring Gal Gadot out in her sleekly0designed Wonder Woman outfit is London’s Trafalgar Square. Wonder Woman first appeared in the 1942 comic Sensation Comics #1.

Gal Gadot was pictured on the set of Wonder Woman Sunday, dressed up as her titular character’s alter-ego, Diana Prince. “So, what we want to do in the film is really tell people who she is, where she comes from and why she does what she does”.

There have been many different interpretations of Etta’s character over the years, but based on the red hair and the old-timey setting, it seems likely that Wonder Woman will follow the original story of the pair.

What we know for sure is that Wonder Woman will feature a segment from World War I, where Gadot’s heroine meets Chris Pine’s soldier and love interest Steve Trevor.

The character has not been seen in live action since the 1975-1979 Wonder Woman TV series starring Lynda Carter. The movie is being produced by Charles Roven, Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder. Trevor is an intelligence officer in the United States Army during World War II, and he meets the Amazon princess Diana on Paradise Island where they fall in love.
