During the week following FAFSA Day (February 22-26), State Employee Credit Union branches will be ready by appointment to help students and families with FAFSA completion, according to Ruffin.
Financial aid advisor Lucila Sommers says her staff assisted more than 60 families with filling out the FAFSA and says the event gives everyone participating the tools needed to complete the process. Instead of PIN numbers, applicants will have to have an ID and password.
Students “are looking for some way to pay for school”, she said.
Indiana’s FAFSA deadline is March 10, 2016.
You can go online to FAFSA.gov and file the application there. You do not have to be a student in order to receive help on the application process.
“It’s just a constant communication between the schools and us to get this done”, Kinkel said.
