Rubio: ‘I can unify’ the GOP, beat Hillary Clinton
He said that despite surveys showing him losing a hypothetical race against her, he would give Republicans a chance to win such key states as NY and MI that the party normally loses in presidential elections. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton won the Nevada Caucuses on the same day by a somewhat thinner margin.

On Saturday, just as SC voters were preparing to cast the first ballots in the state’s primary, Trump reposted a tweet that suggested both Rubio and Ted Cruz are “ineligible” to campaign for the Oval Office.
Rubio, who placed second in SC based on complete but unofficial returns, argued that his policy specifics trump Trump’s big talk. “I shouldn’t hit him too hard though, because if I hit him too hard then he’ll go down, and it’ll be a fight with Hillary, and maybe we want a fight for a while”. His defeat in SC could have longer term implications for his campaign.
“This country is ready for a new generation of conservative to lead this country into the 21st century”, Mr Rubio said of his strong finish, calling himself among the political children of former President Ronald Reagan.
Hall asked Tyler why Cruz lost the evangelical vote in SC to Donald Trump.
Florida governor Jeb Bush received 7.8 percent of the vote and announced that he was going to drop out of the race.
Campaigning in Nevada, Sen. Clinton said on CNN’s “State of the Union”. “Some may have doubted us, but we never doubted each other”.
In Nevada, Sanders ended up with 15 delegates to Clinton’s 20.
The parade of Republican candidates into the state begins on Tuesday when Rubio comes to MI for a rally at Lacks Enterprises in Grand Rapids.
“We did not do as good a job as I had wanted to bring out a large turnout”, Sanders said. Aside from his expectations, he said he is getting a lot of support from the African-American community.
“Bernie’s not going to make it, in my opinion”.

Prior to “Super Tuesday”, Republicans are holding a Nevada caucus on Tuesday and the Democrats a SC primary on 27 February. Sanders told his supporters he called Clinton to congratulate her. Despite his defeat, he vowed to take his campaign nationwide, notably looking past SC, where Clinton is leading the polls, to a clutch of primaries on March 1.
