Samsung lines up 2 new smartphones; to hit India next month
During the Mobile World Congress 2016, Samsung Elecronics did not only reveal its flagship smartphones Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, but also the Samsung Gear 360. This event was one of the best that the Korean giant has offered so far.

Koh also said the introduction of a virtual reality camera will speed up production of user-made content in the industry. The headset also comes with a few pre-installed 360-degree videos.
They both run the latest version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow, have 4GB of Ram for improved multitasking and 30% more powerful processors with “thermal spreader” water-cooling technology to avoid the phones overheating. The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge might be the best-looking phones Samsung’s ever produced, and they managed to bring back two of the three features they dropped from the S6. The screen of the headset is a stunningly sharp 1.88-inch IPS display with 960 x 720 resolution and 649 pixels per inch. While the Galaxy S7 edge sports the side-wrapping display of its predecessor, both phones have an AMOLED display that turns on automatically. For now, you’ll have to settle for up to 200GB, in addition to the 32GB or 64GB of storage space that comes with the device. About 1% battery is consumed Only to keep the screen turned on for quite some time.
The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are powered by an Exynos 8890 octa-core (2.3GHz quad-core + 1.6GHz quad-core) SoC or Qualcomm Snadragon 820 quad-core (2.15GHz dual-core + 1.6GHz dual-core) SoC, depending on the regions. But there are more differences that were not declared earlier. The team at Samsung has also taken the complaint of uninspiring build quality and put in 3D glass and metal into the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. A wide-aperture f/1.7 lens paired with a lower MP helps the device in low-light shooting, plus you can shoot in the rain due to the phone’s water-resistant IP68 build.
The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge differ mainly in their screen sizes and battery capacities. Surprisingly the phone has a lower camera specification as compared to the previous phone S6.

Industry analysts will be watching for the impact these new models have as Samsung battles to hold on to its title as the top-selling global smartphone maker.
