LeSean McCoy meeting with Philadelphia DA on Tuesday
A source close to LeSean McCoy told The Buffalo News’ Vic Carucci off-duty officer Roland Butler instigated the February 7 nightclub brawl.

Seth Williams, the Philadelphia DA, responded later in the day saying he doesn’t “succumb to pressure” while investigating cases. The police officers seem to have come out of the altercation a bit worse off than McCoy, according to injury reports, but there have now been claims that they actually started it when they went to McCoy’s group’s table and took a bottle of champagne.
Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy reportedly will meet Tuesday with Philadelphia’s district attorney over a nightclub fight earlier this month.
In addition to calls from the mayor and police union to move forward with charges against McCoy, there have been reports since the incident that the District Attorney’s office has questions about the behavior of the police officers.

A message left for the District Attorney’s office was not immediately returned. John McNesby, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5 president, said Friday the video showed a clear aggravated assault and demanded justice. “The detectives, from all accounts, were done investigating this last week”, McNesby said. Williams has been criticized for not filing charges in the case. McCoy’s attorney recently told a Buffalo newspaper that his client did nothing wrong. “I understand that people are interested in the outcome of our investigation, but we’re not going to rush because some people are impatient”, Williams said.
