I. partners up with Jay Z’s companies Roc Nation, Tidal

Dime Trap will be TIP’s first album distributed without a major label, though it will be distributed from Universal Music Group via Roc Nation. The Atlanta native announced his new business venture on Monday night (Feb. 22) at the TIDAL X: TIP concert in his hometown.

In coordination with the announcement, TIP also released a new video called “Money Talk” exclusively through Tidal. The winter collections of his two clothing lines Hustle Gang & Akoo are now in stores.

Jay Z’s TIDAL has been in full swing since the beginning of the year with exclusive rights to Rihanna’s Anti and Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo.

T.I. was one of the most successful rappers of the 2000’s, dropping five consecutive platinum albums from 2003 to 2008, and racking up 3 GRAMMY victories in the process.
