Here’s where Bernie Sanders will appear Wednesday in KC

Thousands of Bernie Sanders supporters packed the University of Massachusetts Amherst’s William D. Mullins Memorial Center Monday afternoon, as the Vermont senator began a late push ahead of the state’s March 1 Democratic primary.

Kansans will caucus on March 5. The presidential candidate will discuss a wide range of issues, including getting big money out of politics, combating climate change, and making college affordable.

Sanders opened a campaign office in Kansas City last weekend.

Sanders spoke for about 40 minutes, a shorter duration than previous rallies in Springfield in October and at the UMass Fine Arts Center in January. “So even in the general election, it usually goes Republican on the Kansas side and Missouri can go either way, during the primary season it’s important for both to show up”.
